Yes, but it may take your dog time to learn how to navigate through the door frame while wearing the wheelchair. Observe and encourage your dog while they are mastering this skill.
Yes, your dog can pee and poop with minimal to no mess. The rear harness includes a reinforced channel to provide support and urinary direction for male dogs.
No, this wheelchair is for active use only. Be sure to provide your dog with a 15-minute break after approximately every hour of use.
Yes, if your dog has movement in their hind legs then they should be left out of the foot straps. You can remove the foot straps from the frame if your dog won't be using them. If your dog's hind legs are paralyzed, use the foot straps to prevent injury.
It depends on your dog. Some dogs will only take a few days, while others may require much longer. Patience, praise, and practice are crucial in helping your dog become comfortable with their wheelchair, treats may also help.
No, never leave your dog unattended while using the wheelchair. They could potentially get caught on or trip over things, which might result in injury.
Absolutely! However, it may take other dogs time to get accustomed to your dog's wheelchair. Always observe your dog’s interactions with other dogs.
No, your dog will not be able to safely ascend or descend stairs while in the wheelchair. Remove them from the wheelchair to assist them on the stairs.
No, the wheelchair is too heavy for your dog to swim with. Any currents could also cause your dog to tip over. Never let your dog enter a body of water while using the wheelchair.
I love that you can really customize the height, width, length of this. It helps to minimize the risk that it won't work for your pet. Before this, I spent so many hundreds on braces for my dog with IVDD and the other companies had poor customer service and claimed to accept returns for a different size but I reached out a few times and never was able to exchange my item. Thus far, this wheelchair has helped more than the braces. I do wish that I could buy a slightly larger harness. The holes on these seem slightly too snug for my corgis upper leg. I plan to reach out to customer service about whether there's a way to purchase that separately. I think it will make the wheelchair much more comfortable for my dog.
Hi Jessica,
We are happy to hear that our wheelchair is helping your dog! We do offer different sizes of harnesses on our website that you can purchase separately. One of our customer service representatives will reach out to you soon to assist. Please let us know if you ever have any additional questions, happy to help!

Hi, This is Tootsie Rose Lee! Tootsie has a degenerated disc, near her shoulders, from falling down the stairs once years ago and again a few years back. She has 2 speeds prance and run and although she's lost her step her heart, and her head, still bob at those speeds. A couple years ago she started dragging her back right leg, we got the Xrays and saw the disc gone and spinal cord impingement. No doctor would do anything for her(another story). Meds helped a lot, she still takes Gab. For inflammation. She's learned to live with it and has more great days than good and more good days than bad!! Brings us a toy day and night. And that's with the cataracts!! She's seeing something.sometimes. anyway. Toots started dragging her right hind leg and then her left a little. So I got her booties. When she couldn't go more than a block without tiring I got her the wheels. She's an odd size so I got the odd sized one. She has no butt and stays a bit hunched, so the back strap kept slipping off. Passing the extra strapping through the buckles(a bit tight) I tied them together down her spine. Immediately she was relived her back end lifted onto the wheels Tootsie Wheels! and she was soon happy! I have some photos if you like. Thank you for making these wheels. Toots gets a good walk in around Napa and still plays fetch, in the house, twice a day!
Hi Graham,
This is so great to hear, thank you for sharing your story and feedback with us. It warms our hearts that the wheelchair is helping Tootsie enjoy life and get back to her regular routine! We wish her all the best in her new wheels! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please let us know if you ever have any questions, happy to help!

In April 2024, our dog Jack lost the use of his back legs due to a major side effect from Librela injections. After researching wheelchair manufacturers, we chose a Haute Wheels (HW) wheelchair based on their excellent reviews. I spoke with a HW representative who was exceptionally helpful in selecting the right size for Jack.
When the wheelchair arrived, we had some difficulty adjusting it to fit Jack properly, but we got very close. Unfortunately, within three days of receiving the wheelchair, Jack's right front leg became too weak to use it. Since we had already taken it outside for a trial run, we were unable to return it due to the return policy.
I have a suggestion: Consider offering partial refunds or a buy-back option for chairs returned in excellent condition. The chairs are well-made, so I'm certain they have a long shelf life. Only the wheels were scuffed from one trial run, and a little dog hair clings to the Velcro. You could offer a pre-owned option or rental opportunities.
Thank you for the opportunity to submit a review and for caring about our handicapped pets!
Hi Donna,
We are so sorry to hear that our wheelchair did not work out for Jack. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and the suggestion for our return policy. We will share this suggestion with our team. Happy to hear that you are pleased with our service and we truly do care about our pets! We wish sweet Jack nothing but the best! Please let us know if you ever have any questions, happy to help!

While I can say the wheel set seems to be very sturdy and well built ( although I do wish the wheels were bigger) our Miss Tilly took about a 3 foot trip in those things and then decided that she was going to get better. Several herbal and homeopathic remedies later she gets around fine. Will be saving them though, at 14 years old there may come a day when a rolling rear end will be needed.....
Dachshund owners will understand 🙄🤣🤣🙄
Hi Monte,
We are happy to hear that your dog got better! The wheel sizes do get bigger as the wheelchair gets larger - but let's hope you won't need to use it down the line! We wish you all the best. And do let us know if you have questions down the line. We appreciate you taking the time to write us a review.
