Our dog is a Lab mix, 13 years old, about 60 lbs, with a partially torn achilles tendon on his left, rear leg. When he stands, his claws are curled under his foot like he is walking on his knuckles, so he can barely put any weight on this leg. At his age, we did not think surgery was the right option since it would have put him through a lot of pain, may not have worked and may have even left him worse off. The brace has allowed him to walk. It's very secure. We are going on walks again, like we had done for so many years, so he's "dogging" again, smelling everything, marking his territory, etc. It has been a game changer for us. I don't know what we would have done without it.
