Yes, but it may take your dog time to learn how to navigate through the door frame while wearing the wheelchair. Observe and encourage your dog while they are mastering this skill.
Yes, your dog can pee and poop with minimal to no mess. The rear harness includes a reinforced channel to provide support and urinary direction for male dogs.
No, this wheelchair is for active use only. Be sure to provide your dog with a 15-minute break after approximately every hour of use.
Yes, if your dog has movement in their hind legs then they should be left out of the foot straps. You can remove the foot straps from the frame if your dog won't be using them. If your dog's hind legs are paralyzed, use the foot straps to prevent injury.
It depends on your dog. Some dogs will only take a few days, while others may require much longer. Patience, praise, and practice are crucial in helping your dog become comfortable with their wheelchair, treats may also help.
No, never leave your dog unattended while using the wheelchair. They could potentially get caught on or trip over things, which might result in injury.
Absolutely! However, it may take other dogs time to get accustomed to your dog's wheelchair. Always observe your dog’s interactions with other dogs.
No, your dog will not be able to safely ascend or descend stairs while in the wheelchair. Remove them from the wheelchair to assist them on the stairs.
No, the wheelchair is too heavy for your dog to swim with. Any currents could also cause your dog to tip over. Never let your dog enter a body of water while using the wheelchair.
It would have worked very well, if we had longer with the pup it was purchased for.
Hey Stacy,
We are so sad to hear about the passing of your dog.
Always loyal, always loved. Never forgotten!

I was Leary at first and nervous about putting my paralyzed Golden in this wheelchair. Lucy loves it! She goes for walks and just hangs out in the yard. Love the design. We do put a pad in the back support where her legs go. She can’t control when she goes to the bathroom.
Hi Sue,
What a beautiful dog you have!!! Go Lucy Go!! :-) I am thrilled to hear the wheelchair has been able to help your dog be more mobile and enjoy those little things in life. We hope for many more walks in your future! Let us know if you have any questions along the way, always happy to help!

This is our second wheelchair. We bought a cheaper on online initially because we did not know if our dachie would like it and we were still hoping he would walk again. The quality is much better and the harness is more comfortable for our dachie. If/when he wears this one out, we will order this same wheelchair.
Frustrating to get the adjustments just right on my own. BUT, we eventually got it right! His patience and training paid off.
Two months in a crate after surgery and with literally no hope in sight … I put him in his chair and off he went!
We are now four months out. The movement of the chair matches his natural rhythm and he is learning to walk.
Only one problem -the belly strap and my male dog don’t work. Too wide and slides back so it gets covered in urine. We adjusted by using a beautiful scarf rolled lengthwise and tied in a bow! He is the star of the neighborhood and his progress is checked daily on our walks by children and parents alike.
Thank you for giving me back my boy “Buck”
Hey Richard,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with working with the wheelchair and even more happier to hear that your dog is taking well to it. If you have not done so already, please reach out to customer care for the concerns on the belly wrap. we do offer them in different sizes.
Repsectfully,
AOC
The wheelchair was helpful for my dog. It helped him to be more comfortable during the last days of his life.
